Art Trevethan is the Founder and self-appointed Ringmaster of Acceleration Reach Transition (ART) — a firm built to bridge the persistent gap between Department of Defense innovation and real-world acquisition. Through ART, he helps companies and agencies navigate the messy middle between great ideas and contract execution.
Prior to launching ART, Art served as Entrepreneur in Residence with Army Futures Command’s Army Applications Laboratory (AAL), where he worked at the intersection of emerging tech and government need. His work helped shape pathways for dual-use technologies to reach military users with speed and precision.
With over 30 years of startup, strategy, and executive experience across multiple sectors — from defense to deep tech — Art has become a trusted advisor for organizations seeking traction in complex, regulated environments. His mission: support the people who build, fight, and fund the future.
Art is a regular contributor to the national security innovation conversation, writing on topics like defense acquisition reform, transition strategy, and public-private partnerships. He’s active on LinkedIn, publishes longform commentary on Medium, and speaks frequently at industry events.
