Angelos Angelou is a renowned economic strategist and entrepreneur, serving as the Founder and CEO of both AngelouEconomics and the International Accelerator (IA). With a career spanning over three decades, he has been instrumental in transforming Austin into a global tech hub. During his tenure as Vice President of Economic Development and Chief Economist at the Austin Chamber of Commerce, Angelou attracted over 800 technology companies, including industry giants like Apple, IBM, and Samsung, resulting in $26 billion in capital investments and the creation of more than 285,000 jobs in Texas.

In 2014, Angelou founded the International Accelerator, a unique program dedicated exclusively to supporting foreign-born entrepreneurs in launching and scaling their startups in the U.S. The IA offers comprehensive support, including housing, office space, mentorship, and investor access, to help international founders navigate the American business landscape . His contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including a Proclamation from the Texas Governor and Mayor of Austin, and induction into the Austin Tech Hall of Fame . Angelou's educational background includes degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a Master's in Economics from St. Mary's University, and doctoral coursework in Economics at Southern Methodist University.
