Steve Guengerich

UT Dallas Senior Advisor of Venture Development

Steve Guengerich is a seasoned entrepreneur, educator, and author with over three decades of experience in business innovation and technology commercialization. Currently serving as Senior Advisor for Innovation and Commercialization at The University of Texas at Dallas, he plays a pivotal role in advancing the university's research and startup initiatives through the Office of Research and Innovation.

Prior to his current position, Guengerich was the Executive Director of the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UT Dallas, where he led the launch of the Blackstone LaunchPad program, a campus-wide initiative supporting student and alumni entrepreneurs. His entrepreneurial journey includes founding BSG Corporation, which was acquired by Per Se Technologies in a $330 million deal, and serving as a principal at Powershift Group, where he helped launch companies like Appconomy and Moxie . An advocate for sustainable business practices, Guengerich has authored 12 books and numerous articles on business innovation and information technology.
